WEEK 8
Tripp is 8 weeks old!! He is such a blessing to Dennis and myself. He is growing so fast, he weighs 12.18 lbs. He is talking up a storm these days. He coos, goos, grunts, ahhs, and oohh!! He smiles ALL the time now. He is continuing to get stronger and stronger. I wouldn't be surprised if he is an early walker!
On the other side of things, Tripp and I are both sick. He has RSV. yuck I know, I am so sad. Respiratory Syncytial Virus is a very common virus that leads to mild, cold-like symptoms in adults and can be more serious is young babies. It is the most common germ that causes lung and airway infections in young children. Most kids will have this by age 2. Antibodies do not treat this because it is viral. So we are watching him very closely and hope that it doesn't get worse. Please pray for Baby Tripp.

CHIRSTMAS 2009
We had a wonderful Christmas this year, spending lots of time with all of our family. Luckily we didn't have to travel, unlike my neighbors who got caught in a snow storm on their way to West Virginia and it took 30 hours to get there!!!! CRAZY!! Anyway, here are a few snap shots of Christmas.

The Greatest Christmas Gift
Celebrate this Christmas
The birth of God's Holy Son
Give praise and thanks
For all that God has done
The miracles at this time
Are all too often hard to see
All of our time is spent
Buying presents for under the tree
Dont forget the reason
Behind this glorious day
Was a babe born in a manger
On that blessed Christmas Day
His life was laid done for us
Chirst, he gave us his all
To suffer our sins for us
In hopes that no one would fall
Our sins have been forgiven
All that's asked is we believe
There are no words to express
The love he has for us
Remember how he suffered
Before he died on the cross
Worship Him this Christmas
Fall on bended knee
Lift your voices singing praises
Let him be all you need
Though presents and decorations
Are a lot of fun
Give thanks to God this Christmas
He gave the most precious gift to us,
The life of his only Son.

Laughing
Tripp laughed out loud for the first time yesterday morning (December 18). It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen. I didn't have time to run get my camera but thank goodness for camera phones. I almost cried because it was so sweet. Precious momemts like this make the first 5 weeks a blurr!!

Sleepy Head
12/16/09 Tripp slept from 10:30 pm to 3:00 am!! This is our longest stretch of sleep so far and Momma was very happy!!
6 WEEKS OLD
Tripp is 6 weeks old and is changing each day. Here are a few things he is doing these days:
- He is beginning to smile quite often. He really smiles a lot when he wakes up while unswaddling him.
- He just grins and grins.
- He is making all sorts of sounds. cooing, grunting, mostly ahhhs. So stinkin cute.
- He is holding him head up all the time. He has been doing this since we left the hospital.
- He is pushing off with his legs. He was doing this the weeks we came home. He almost pushed off my lap at week 2.
- He has really woken up the past few weeks. He just looks around the room. He has the most beautiful big blue eyes. He loves looking at the lights on the Christmas tree.
- He likes his swing
- He is a scooter! Several times I have put him in his bed and I come back and he has scooted the length of the bed!
- He is is still waking about every 3 hours to eat so we are looking forward to the next few weeks

Thanksgiving 2009
What a wonderful time of the year to give thanks for all that we have!! Dennis and I are so thankful for all that we have been blessed with. We have everything we could ever NEED and WANT!! Thanksgiving this year, Dennis, Tripp and I went to Dennis' Grandmother and Granddaddy's in Cotton Plant, then we headed to the delta to my parents house. These were Tripps first adventures out of Tupelo.

WE HAD LOTS OF FUN VISITING WITH SUGAR AND PI!! WE DIDNT WANT TO LEAVE!!
Thanksgiving at the Childers
Aunt Lori, Tripp, Aunt Lanna and Cousin Whitten
Cousin Maggie Miller
Holder, Den Den, Sims, Con Con and Tripp
This was the best attempt at a picture of all the grandkids. Sims did not want to cooperate; she wanted to sit in Con Con's lap and needless to say threw a fit.
Thanksgiving in the Delta
Beth Burge Paulette Lloyd Anthony Wade
Momma, Aunt Kelsey, Pi, Tripp and Pepsey
Aunt Royann Gave Tripp this outfit! ADORABLE
Tripp and Pepsey.
The trip to the delta was SUCCESS IF YOU DONT COUNT RUNNING OUT OF DIAPERS AND WIPES. I GUESS I JUST DIDNT REALIZE HOW MANY A BABY GOES THRU (ESPECIALLY Tripp, it takes 3 diapers everytime you change him.. one that he has on, once you get that one changed and a fresh one on , he immediately pees again then you change him again, and you must change him again-he HATES a wet diaper) AND BELZONI IS NOT THE BEST PLACE TO RUN OUT OF DIAPERS. (I WENT TO A COUPLE OF STORES TRYING TO FIND NEWBORN PAMPERS SWADDLERS..COULDNT FIND THEM..BELZONI DOESNT HAVE THE LUXURY OF A WAL-MART... SO SIZE 1 HAD TO WORK. THEY FIT MORE LIKE A STRAPLESS ONSIE BUT THEY GOT THE JOB DONE.WE HAD LOTS OF FUN VISITING WITH SUGAR AND PI!! WE DIDNT WANT TO LEAVE!!

First Mohawk
Tripp isn't real sure about taking a bath just yet. He can't decide if he likes them or not. Sometimes he is content splashing in the water and other times he turns beet red and squalls like a maniac!! we prefer the content baths but one thing is for sure, his hair is wild afterwards! OUR FIRST MOHAWK!! gotta love your mom spiking up your hair when you cant do anything about it!!
